We're celebrating new years by going sturgeon fishing tomorrow.

BC's lower Fraser River has a unique catch and release sturgeon fishery, which is great because it helps these prehistoric beasts keep their population up.

Here are some catches on the fraser from 2012: Look at these beasts!

I will photo any fish caught!

I see it's catch and release, but have you ever eaten sturgeon?! I grew up on a river, and have never eaten one before....am just curious what it taste like.

I've had smoked sturgeon, and I'd possibly kill for more, but I don't live anywhere near there, now. Is that an answer?

I'm a bit of a nerd for sturgeon and things about the great lakes and Canada's fresh waterways, I live near Lake Ontario and Lake Huron,
That is one epic FIsh! any guess on it's age? I know they can be 100+ easily.
